Ukraine's parliament has voted to ratify the minerals deal with the United States, a little over a week since the deal was signed in a move of rare speed in the world of Ukraine politics.
"There were many myths around this agreement, but all political manipulations have failed. The parliament has demonstrated unity by voting almost unanimously for a decision that will definitely strengthen both our country and relations with the United States of America," said Oleksandr Kornienko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, cited in the parliament's post on Facebook.
