UK's BII ready to pivot from trade finance to 'rebuilding business' in Ukraine when war ends, managing director tells URN

UK development finance institution British International Investment (BII), which has so far focused on trade finance in its new mandate to help Ukraine, will shift to rebuilding private business as soon as the war ends, its managing director said.

"During the war, we are helping businesses simply to survive," Colin Buckley, managing director and general counsel of BII, told Ukraine Rebuild Newswire (URN). "After the war, BII plans to invest in business rebuilding and expansion."
