Ukrainian canned fish producer Interribflot, known for its Aquamarine brand, plans to raise its production capacity and enter other European markets despite the wartime challenges, co-founder Hryhoriy Lutsai and co-owner Andriy Chuklin said in an interview with UNIAN, published Tuesday.

"We see a growing demand for our products both in Ukraine and abroad. This prompts us to take active steps. Our plan involves increasing production capacity by 20-25%," Lutsai stated.

Chuklin said the company plans to build an additional universal production line that "will allow us to expand the assortment and replace some imported products on the market," he noted.

Interribflot is also working to modernize some production stages by replacing outdated equipment, hoping to increase efficiency by 40%, reduce water and energy consumption, as well as to grow the workforce by at least 10%.

In addition, the company is seeking permits to offer its products to consumers in the EU, Chuklin stated.

In 2023, Interribflot, which produces about 28 million cans of canned food annually, supplied more than 12 million cans of goods to Ukraine's army.

"Our products have become an important part of the servicemen's diet, especially in field conditions," Lutsai noted.
