Ukraine has launched a program that allows foreigners to remotely start and conduct business in the country, called uResidency, Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said in a post on X on Friday.
The program is supported by the EU under the Eu4Ua and DT4UA projects and implemented by the Estonian e-Governance Academy, Fedorov said.
The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine said in a press release that the program offers foreign entrepreneurs attractive conditions for doing business, including a 5% tax rate on profits, as well as the ability to register remotely as a sole proprietor and to do business from anywhere in the world
The uResidency program is aimed at small business owners in Asia and Europe. Its focus is on IT professionals and specialists providing online services in the creative economy.
"There are only a few similar projects in the world," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. "And we are already offering e-residency with the most favourable conditions for business. In addition, uResidency will become a source of support for our economy both during the war and after our victory."
