Saint-Gobain opens first factory in Ukraine to make 60,000 tons a year of gypsum ahead of reconstruction

Saint-Gobain, the French multinational construction materials supplier, has invested $11 million to build a factory in Ukraine with the capacity to make 60,000 tons of gypsum mixes per year.

The factory, which opened this week in the Ivano Frankivsk region, will employ 50 people and produce produce gypsum mixtures under the Rigips brand, with the support of one of Saint-Gobain’s R&D centers, the company said.
