Ukraine's stocks surge to pre-war levels on Warsaw exchange

WIG Ukraine, the index for Ukrainian stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), surged nearly 25% in recent days, reaching pre-war levels, Polish business outlet Puls Biznesu reported.

Financial markets have responded positively to US promises of a plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war. After Donald Trump's election victory, Ukraine's sovereign bonds also rose as investors anticipated a quicker resolution to the conflict.
