Ukraine to receive €7 million for restoration of Chernobyl exclusion zone

Contributing states to the International Cooperation Account for Chernobyl announced they will provide about €7 million for restoring and developing the Chernobyl exclusion zone, Ukraine's Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Svitlana Hrynchuk stated.

Canada has pledged €7 million, the European Commission €1.7 million, and Belgium will also make a contribution, Hrynchuk said, without specifying the size.
