Ukraine needs $56 billion to rebuild the agriculture sector over the next decade, study finds

Ukraine's agricultural sector requires $56 billion for reconstruction over the next decade to replace machinery, restore production, and rebuild infrastructure, according to a report published by the Center for Food and Land Use Research.

Agriculture is a mainstay of Ukraine's economy, constituting 11% of GDP and 40% of exports as of 2021. The study estimated war-related damages to Ukraine’s agricultural sector at $10.3 billion, with losses totaling $69.8 billion.
