UK government names Labour Party MP Sobel as trade envoy to Ukraine

The UK has named MP Alex Sobel, who has served since 2017 as a member of parliament for the Labour Party, as trade envoy to Ukraine, the UK embassy in Kyiv said on Wednesday.

"He will focus on identifying trade and investment opportunities for British businesses and promoting the UK as a destination of choice for investment," the embassy said in a post on X.
