France and UK to propose 1-month truce in air and sea attacks, but not ground fighting, Macron says

France and the UK plan to propose a one-month truce in Ukraine that would only cover air and sea attacks and assaults on energy infrastructure, French President Emmanuel Macron told the French newspaper Le Figaro.

The truce would not affect ground fighting, Macron told a reporter from Le Figaro on the airplane as he returned from a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other Western leaders.
