European leaders to meet next week to consider appointing envoy for possible peace talks

European leaders are considering appointing a special envoy to represent the European Union in possible talks to end the war in Ukraine, unnamed sources told Bloomberg.

The leaders will discuss the proposal at an emergency meeting set for March 6 in Brussels to discuss possible increases in European defense spending and arms supplies to Ukraine, the news agency reported.
