Canada allocates extra CAD 50 million to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Canada will provide an additional CAD 50 million ($34.8 million) to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contributions to CAD 60 million, according to the Ukrainian government. An additional CAD 10 million is planned for a future contribution.

Part of Canada’s assistance will support the health sector by developing solar power systems for critical infrastructure, the release said. The fund helps restore energy facilities damaged by attacks and ensures the stability of Ukraine’s energy system by purchasing needed equipment.
