Vodka distillery, prosthetics maker, stone quarry on sale this month in Ukraine privatization drive

Ukraine’s government aims to auction off a vodka distillery for as little as $500,000, a stone quarry with a starting price of $7.2 million, a dental products maker at a starting value of $1.3 million, a state vocational school for as little as $9,000, and other state assets in the country’s privatization drive.

Warehouses, factories, former cinemas and other assets are among the 41 properties headed for auction this month, according to the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the agency tasked with managing state-owned enterprises (SOEs), real estate complexes, land, buildings, equipment, vehicles and other state assets.

The fund also announced 45 online auctions for renting state-owned property in October,  including assets in the capital and other regions of Ukraine, such as buildings, land and warehouses, with various areas and technical conditions.

The fund also said that 300 assets have been privatized in the first nine months of 2023 for a combined UAH 2.7 billion ($73.6 million), a 50% increase from UAH 1.8 billion in the same period last year.
