US seeks to expand terms of Ukraine minerals deal, sources say

The US government seeks revised agreements on access to Ukraine's critical minerals and energy resources, expanding its economic demands, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing unnamed Ukrainian officials.

The White House seeks specific terms on the ownership and control of a joint investment fund envisaged in the minerals deal with Ukraine, along with a wider scope that could include US stakes in other key assets, such as Ukraine's nuclear power plants, according to the officials.
