Sweden appoints long-time diplomat to new post of 'envoy for reconstruction of Ukraine'

The Swedish government has appointed Ulrik Tideström, its former ambassador to Georgia and Armenia, to the newly created position of special envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine to promote Swedish businesses seeking to help rebuild the war-torn country.

Tideström, currently the director of Diplomatic Training for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be tasked with promoting Swedish businesses seeking to help rebuild Ukraine as well as encouraging the recovery of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ukrainian government, the European Union, international financial institutions and other allies, the government said.
