Attacks on Ukraine’s battered ports and agricultural infrastructure are deepening the country’s grain crisis, disrupting exports, squeezing storage and cash flows on farms across the country and threatening producers’ ability to finance future harvests, according to a new assessment.
An August flash report by humanitarian NGO Mercy Corps and the Ukraine Crisis Analysis Team (UACAT), which monitors the effects of the war, examines how the attacks are disrupting Ukraine’s agricultural supply chain, from harvesting and storage to exports and farm finances.
