Ukraine's agricultural sector has largely recovered from the immediate financial shock of Russia's full-scale invasion, and investors should expect future profitability to depend more on efficiency than wartime resilience, according to a new report by Agrohub and the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB).

The study projects average EBITDA at $410 per hectare in the 2025 production season, little changed from 2024 but marking a dramatic recovery from the collapse that followed the invasion. EBITDA fell from $857 per hectare in 2021 to just $48 in 2022 before rebounding to $129 in 2023 and $446 in 2024 as producers adapted to wartime conditions and export routes gradually reopened.
