A portion of the cargo traveling along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which links China and Europe, is expected to be routed through Ukraine, Tymofiy Murakhovsky, commercial and logistics director at state-owned Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia), stated on Wednesday.

For this purpose, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to establish a subsidiary in Kazakhstan, the UZ Cargo East, which would work along the so-called Middle Corridor from China to Europe via Ukraine, according to Murakhovsky.
