Ukraine's government on Friday approved documents enabling it to raise an additional €62 million ($68 million) in funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB), the prime minister said in a press release.

"These resources will be channeled to the development of social infrastructure, energy sustainability, heating, and other important projects in our communities," Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated.

No more details on the funding were provided.

Since the Russian invasion in 2022, the EIB has allocated more than €2 billion in emergency relief to Ukraine.
