Russian attacks on thermal power plants to cost $300 million in repairs, DTEK says

Russian attacks in the second half of March damaged or destroyed five of the six thermal power plants owned by DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy generator, and repairs will cost more than $300 million, the company said.

Russian attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure since March 22 took 80% of DTEK's generating capacity offline, with 10 attacks specifically targeting the company, DTEK Executive Director Dmytro Sakharuk said in nationally televised comments on the weekend.
