Putin says he hopes nuclear weapons 'will not be required' in Ukraine as Zelensky reaffirms willingness for lasting ceasefire

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with state television that he hopes there would be "no need" to use nuclear weapons in the war with Ukraine, according to media reports.
