Norway more than doubles budgeted 2025 aid for Ukraine to €7.8 billion

Norway will more than double the amount of aid budgeted for Ukraine this year to about €7.8 billion, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced after a meeting with leaders in parliament.

"‘We are contending with the most serious security situation in Norway since the Second World War," he said. "This funding represents a major Norwegian contribution to peace and stability in Ukraine and in Europe."
