India's Engineering Export Promotion Council predicts surge in demand from Ukraine reconstruction

India's Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), which represents exporters and manufacturers of metal goods, machinery and other products, anticipates a surge in demand soon from the reconstruction of Ukraine, EEPC Chairman Arun Garodia said at a press conference on Tuesday, the Hindu Business Line reported.

"Ukraine wants to buy from us; Russia also wants to buy from us," Garodia said, expressing hope that the war in Ukraine will end soon after Donald Trump becomes the US president. He said India has maintained friendly relations with both Ukraine and Russia.
