Iceland grants extra €2 million to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Iceland is contributing an additional €2 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing the total contribution from a nation of less than 400,000 people to over €5.6 million, according to the Ukrainian government.

The €1 billion Fund was established in 2022 as a joint initiative of Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, German Galushchenko, and European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, under the Energy Community Secretariat.
