Half of Ukrainians want a swift, negotiated end to war, Gallup poll shows

Some 52% of Ukrainians want their country to negotiate an end to the war as quickly as possible and 38% believe Ukraine should keep fighting until victory, according to a Gallup survey conducted in August and October.

The results represent a resolute shift from the attitudes of Ukrainians recorded at the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion in 2022, and from opinions expressed in a 2023 survey, Gallup said in a press release on Tuesday.
