Bulgaria seeks 'active role' in reconstruction of Ukraine's nuclear, renewable energy sectors

Bulgaria will take an "active role" in the reconstruction of Ukraine, particularly in rebuilding and overhauling its renewable energy and nuclear power sectors, the Ukrainian government said.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Bulgarian counterpart, Nikolai Denkov, also agreed in a meeting in Kyiv to explore the possibility of establishing interconnectors between the power grids of Ukraine and Bulgaria, via the Romanian power grid.
