Accord Import, a cabinet furniture manufacturer based in the western Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi, will invest $14 million to triple its production capacity after an increase in orders from Danish retailer Jysk, its main buyer.

The project will include developing a new factory in the region to boost production capacity to 1.2 million square meters of cabinet furniture per month, from the current 420,000.

The expansion will make Accord Import one of the five biggest household furniture makers in Europe, said Dmytro Kysylevsky, chairman of the parliamentary committee on Economic Development, who announced the investment.
